Visit Mass Audubon’s Habitat Education Center & Wildlife Sanctuary
Mass Audubon’s Habitat Education Center & Wildlife Sanctuary is stunning enough to host weddings—and it regularly does—which means the scenery is more than sufficient for an afternoon stroll. The park’s labyrinth of trails skirt the edges of ponds, cut through evergreen and deciduous forests, and crisscross across meadows.
The next time you have a free afternoon, spend it in the fresh air and sunshine at this local wildlife sanctuary. You can also check out the education center to see what’s going on that day. Sometimes the center hosts educational events, and it always has at least one exhibit on display. Now through the end of August, learn about the birds and the other fauna of your region with photos by Sandy Selesky at an education center exhibit fittingly called “Birds and Wildlife.”
